Twilio Account for Whatsapp Integration | Meta Business Manager Setup

1. Access Twilio Messaging Senders Page

  • Navigate to Messaging > Senders > WhatsApp Senders in your Twilio console.
  • You'll see the Get Started page, where you will initiate the WhatsApp integration process.

2. Acknowledge and Click Continue

  • After reaching the Get Started page, click Acknowledge and then Continue to move forward with the setup.

3. New Sender Page

  • On the New Sender page, you'll need to select a Twilio phone number. From the drop-down menu, choose the number you will be using for WhatsApp.

4. Continue with Facebook

  • Click Continue with Facebook to connect your Twilio account to your Facebook/Meta Business Manager account. This is necessary for linking WhatsApp with your business.


5. Connect Your Account to Twilio

  • Once redirected, click the Get Started button to authorize the connection between your Twilio account and Facebook.

6. Fill in Business Information

  • On the Business Information page, you will need to fill out your business name, email, website, and country.
  • After filling out the required information, click Next to proceed.

7. Create a WhatsApp Business Account

  • On the Create WhatsApp Business Account page, click Next to continue. This step ensures that you are setting up a business account for WhatsApp integration.


8. Create WhatsApp Business Account Name

  • On the next page, enter your Company Name and select the Category that best fits your business. After completing this, click Next to proceed.

9. WhatsApp Number Verification

  • Now, you’ll need to verify your WhatsApp number.
    • Copy the Twilio-provided WhatsApp number and paste it into the Meta Page.
    • Select Text Message as the method of verification.

10. Enter Verification Code

  • Check your SMS inbox for the verification code sent by Twilio.
  • Copy the verification message and paste it into the Meta page to complete the process.

11. Facebook Will Verify Information

  • Facebook will verify the provided information and, once confirmed, your account will be linked and ready for WhatsApp messaging.

12. WhatsApp Sender Status

  • After successful integration, your WhatsApp sender will appear with a status of Online in the Twilio console, confirming that the setup is complete.

13. Start Using WhatsApp with Your Business

  • Once everything is set up and verified, you are ready to use WhatsApp as a communication channel for your business through Twilio and Meta Business Manager.
