Case Categories Documentation
Case Categories Case Categories are used to manage case category data throughout the system for case registration, case type master, keywords mapping for legal library, legal library search, and case type mapping. Categories help organize and classify cases systematically across the platform.
Accessing Case Categories
- Navigate to the Settings section by clicking the settings icon in the header bar on the left side.
- Under the Cases & Projects section, click on Case Categories

Managing Existing Case Categories The Case Categories page displays all case categories in a table with:
- Case category name (English and Arabic)
- Color code
- Status
- Edit action button
You can:
- Add new case categories by clicking the Add New button in the top right corner
- Search across all columns to find specific case categories
- Edit a case category by clicking the edit button in the action column
- Change status by editing and updating the active toggle

Adding a New Case Category
- On the Case Categories page, click the Add New button in the top right corner
- In the form, enter:
- Case Category Name En: Enter the case category name in English
- Case Category Name Ar: Enter the case category name in Arabic
- Which amount to show on dashboard for this category: Select either "Case Claim Amount" or "Payment Tracker Amount" using the radio button options. Default selection is "Case Claim Amount". This determines which amount will be displayed on the dashboard tables for due amounts stage wise and case category wise tables.
- Color Code: Select a color using the color picker. This color will be used to display the category in the case by category pie chart on the dashboard.
- Active: Toggle button set to "Active" (default) or "Inactive"
- Click Save to create the new case category
