Adjournments Documentation
Adjournments Adjournments are used to manage adjournment reasons throughout the system for hearing minutes entry against scheduled hearings in the case module. These reasons help standardize and track the various circumstances that may require postponing or rescheduling court hearings systematically across the platform.
Accessing Adjournments
- Navigate to the Settings section by clicking the settings icon in the header bar on the left side.
- Under the Cases section, click on Adjournments

Managing Existing Adjournments The Adjournments page displays all adjournment reasons in a table with:
- Adjournment reason name (English and Arabic)
- Status
- Edit action button
You can:
- Add new adjournment reasons by clicking the Add New button in the top right corner
- Search across all columns to find specific adjournment reasons
- Edit an adjournment reason by clicking the edit button in the action column
- Change status by editing and updating the active toggle

Adding a New Adjournment
- On the Adjournments page, click the Add New button in the top right corner
- In the form, enter:
- Adjournment Reason (English): Enter the adjournment reason name in English
- Adjournment Reason (Arabic): Enter the adjournment reason name in Arabic
- Change case status to "For Judgement"?: Check this checkbox to enable the system to automatically update the case status to "For Judgement" when this adjournment reason is selected during hearing minutes entry.
- Active: Toggle button set to "Active" (default) or "Inactive"
- Click Save to create the new adjournment reason
