Position Groups Documentation

Position Groups Position Groups are used to manage position title data throughout the system for case type mappings and case registration. Each position group contains multiple position titles that help organize and classify party positions systematically across the platform. Position groups support different position types including Against, Registered By, Expert, Private Executor, and Other categories.

Every case has parties which can be titled as Claimant, Defendant, Respondent, Expert, Witness and so on. Now we will learn how in CASENGINE you can group the relevant party titles to be mapped with the Case type.

The idea is to map a group of party titles with the case type, so when you start registering a case with a specific case type you get to chose the titles from the mapped list only which avoids human errors.

Accessing Position Groups

1. Navigate to the Settings section by clicking the settings icon in the header bar on the left side.
2. Under the Cases section, click on Position Groups

Managing Existing Position Groups The Position Groups page displays all position groups in a table with:

• Position group name (English and Arabic)
• Position title name (English and Arabic)
• Status
• Edit action button

You can:

• Add new position groups by clicking the Add New button in the top right corner
• Search across all columns to find specific position groups
• Edit a position group by clicking the edit button in the action column
• Change status by editing and updating the active toggle

Adding a New Position Group

1. On the Position Groups page, click the Add New button in the top right corner
2. In the form, enter:
   • Position Group Name (English): Enter the position group name in English
   • Position Group Name (Arabic): Enter the position group name in Arabic
   • Position Title (English): Enter the position title name in English
   • Position Title (Arabic): Enter the position title name in Arabic
   • Position Type: Select the position type from the dropdown - "Against", "Registered By", "Expert", "Private Executor", or "Other". For Expert and Private Executor types, the position title fields will be auto-filled and become read-only
   • Active: Toggle button set to "Active" (default) or "Inactive"

While adding or amending the list of titles within a group, you may select the type as Against/Registered by or other to identify the client and the opponent titles respectively.

Important: Remember to press Add to add individual titles and finally press Submit at the bottom to save changes!

The position titles are managed within the same form using a grid section. You can add multiple position titles for the same position group. At least one position title must be added to create a position group. Once position titles are added, they cannot be deleted or edited individually, but the position group name can be modified when editing the position group.

3. Click Save to create the new position group
