Timesheet – Managing Timesheet Entries

Overview

The Timesheet module in Casengine allows users and administrators to log, review, and manage time entries related to different projects and tasks. This article explains the available actions for managing existing timesheet entries.


Available Actions on Timesheet Entries

Each timesheet entry provides the following actions:

  1. Show History

    • View the complete change history of a timesheet entry, including who created, edited, or modified it.

    • This helps maintain transparency and accountability for time tracking.

  2. Edit

    • Modify existing details of a timesheet entry such as task description, duration, or notes.

    • Only users with edit permissions can make changes.

  3. Delete

    • Permanently remove a timesheet entry that was created in error or is no longer required.

    • Note: Only administrators can delete timesheet entries.


?️ How to Delete a Timesheet Entry (Admin Only)

Follow the steps below to delete a timesheet entry:

  1. Navigate to the Timesheet section from the main menu.

  2. Open the Existing Timesheet page.

  3. Use the Time Duration Filter to display the list of timesheets for the selected date range.

  4. From the list of results, locate the entry you wish to delete.

  5. Click on the Actions menu (⋮) corresponding to that entry.

  6. Select Delete to remove the timesheet entry.

  7. Confirm the deletion when prompted.


⚠️ Important Notes

  • Deleted timesheet entries cannot be restored.

  • It is recommended to review the entry’s history before deletion.

  • Only users with Admin privileges can perform delete actions.
